Privacy Policy
The short version
The Debate Arena is a debate game for children aged 5 to 12, and the account always belongs to a parent or guardian. We collect what we need to run a debate and bill the subscription, we do not sell or share personal data for advertising, and a parent can see, correct or delete everything at any time.
What we collect
- Account data: the email address and password (stored as a hash) you sign up with, or, if you use Google sign-in, the name, email address and profile picture Google shares with us. We use it only to identify your account.
- Child profile: a nickname, an age (5–12) and, optionally, a gender, entered by the parent. Age picks which stories and language the game uses. We never ask the child for a surname, a location or a photo.
- Debate content: the speeches typed or spoken in a debate, the opponent's replies and the audience's one-line verdicts. Spoken speeches are transcribed in your browser; we receive the text, not the audio.
- Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We store the subscription status and a Stripe customer reference; we never see or store card numbers.
- Technical logs: request logs with IP address and browser type, kept briefly to keep the service reliable and secure.
- Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages lead to sign-ups. It receives the pages you open and a random cookie identifier — never your email, the child's profile or any debate text — and we have switched off Google Signals and ad personalization for this site.
How debate content is used
Each speech is sent to an AI model to produce the opponent's reply and the audience's verdict. Those models are given the story, the speech and the child's age band — not the child's name, your email or any account identifier. A second, independent check looks for signs that a child may need help; if it finds any, the debate pauses gently and the exchange is recorded for the parent to review. We do not use debate content to train models.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly create accounts for children. The parent creates the account, enters the child's profile and can delete it. If you believe a child has created an account without a parent, write to us and we will remove it.
Who we share data with
Only the providers needed to run the service: our database and hosting providers, the AI model providers that generate replies and verdicts, Stripe for payments, Google Analytics for visit counts, and Google if you choose Google sign-in. Each receives only what its job requires. We do not sell personal data and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Your choices
- See and change the child profile any time in Settings.
- Cancel the subscription any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Ask us to export or delete your account and every debate in it by writing to support@debate.curioseed-ai.com. Deletion is complete within 30 days.
Retention and security
Debate content stays in your account until you delete it or the account is deleted. Sessions are kept in a cookie scoped to this site only. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email the account address before it takes effect.
