Terms of Service
Who can use it
The Debate Arena is offered to parents and guardians for use with children in their care. You must be an adult to create an account, and you are responsible for the account and for supervising its use by a child.
What you get
A subscription gives one household access to every debate story, the AI opponent, the simulated audience and the concept reveals, on the devices you choose to sign in on. The stories, characters and software are ours or our licensors'; you may use them for personal, non-commercial learning.
Billing
- Subscriptions are monthly or annual and renew automatically until cancelled.
- During the beta, the monthly plan is discounted for your first month and then renews at the standard monthly price shown at checkout.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may apply where required.
- You can cancel at any time from the app; access continues to the end of the period already paid for. We do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it.
Acceptable use
Do not try to make the opponent or the audience produce content that is unsafe for children, probe or disrupt the service, share your account beyond your household, or copy the stories for redistribution. We may suspend an account that does.
The AI
The opponent and the audience are AI models. They are designed and checked for a young audience, but they can be wrong, and the verdicts are a game mechanic, not an assessment of your child. The concept reveals are simplified on purpose.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service up, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may change or retire features; if a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell you and you may cancel for a pro-rated refund of the unused period.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as-is and our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you.
Privacy
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
